Save The Date - Nationwide Bake Sale & Fundraiser
BAKE SALE. Simply said, two of the greatest words in the world.
This weekend I’m participating in a bake sale that’s extra special. Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry is a national fundraiser to help fight childhood hunger. Bakers from around the country come together and host this one-day event to raise money and awareness about the severe problem our country is facing. You’ve heard me say it before: 1 in 5 kids in the US is hungry. These numbers are simply unacceptable.
I’m baking up a storm for the fundraiser. I don’t want to give all my secrets away, but I will be selling a few of my favorite Hawaiian treats! If you’re in the Portland area, make sure to stop by on Saturday morning. If you can’t make it, head to our donations page or check out the list of bake sales in your city. I’m honored to be participating this year, so I hope you’ll come out and support, indulge, and help make a difference. Together we can make a difference.
WHERE: Powell’s Book Store, 1005 Burnside St Portland, Or 97209 {look for us on the corner of Couch Street + 11th}
WHEN: Saturday May 3rd, 9 am-1 pm
WHAT: Local bloggers selling an amazing assortment of baked goodies. 100% of proceeds will go to help end childhood hunger here in the United States.
~ Last but not least, HUGE shoutout to the other fabulous PDX bloggers who are contributing baked goods. Come hungry. I won’t say it again. ~

Aloha, and welcome to Margaritas In The Rain! My name is Marisa. I live in Hawaii, where I cook approachable food. With an island twist. And yes, I do love drinking margaritas on rainy days. Care to join me?
