Cinco de Mayo Recipe Roundup

 cinco de mayo recipe roundup.jpg

This time last year, I was in LA filming a video for Sauza Tequila. The theme was “Cinco de Mayo Ladies Night,” and it involved drinking margaritas for about 10 hours straight in a mansion in the hollywood hills, while me and several other bloggers were pampered and styled from head-to-toe. It wasn’t hard to look like we were having fun. In between giggling awkwardly and sipping margaritas, the makeup crew would run up to us to touch up our lipstick, straighten our dresses… and I remember distinctly feeling like I was getting way more attention than I had at my wedding (where I got a lot of attention!). And you know what? It was fun to feel like a big deal for a day. A girl could totally get used to that.

Even before the video shoot, though, I’ve always loved Cinco de Mayo. And it’s not because I need an excuse for margaritas – because you know I don’t. I posted a recipe roundup last year to get your party started, but I had so many recipes to share this year – I just had to do it again. This Cinco de Mayo Recipe Roundup is bigger and badder than ever – with recipe ideas for literally every meal of the day. Cheers!

I tried your Rhubarb Custard Pie in a jar. It did not turn out well. The jars over flowed a lot and I filled the jars only 3/4 full. 425° oven seems rather hot. After the jars cooled, the crumble became very hard and the jars looked nothing like the picture that you provided. I followed the recipe. Do you happen to know what I did incorrectly? Thanks so much Cynthia
