aloha friday

Here’s the truth about four-day weeks: you’re still required to squeeze five-days’ worth of work in. So I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for the weekend. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining. The three-day weekend was really lovely. I spent a few days at the Oregon coast with friends, which involved barefoot walks on the beach, long games of Cards Against Humanity, wine in plastic cups, and sleeping on the top bunk. All in all a phenomenal little get away. My saving grace coming back to reality this week was that the internet was full of hilarious things. Here’s a glimpse at some of the things that kept me going. I hope they help you get through, too.

Happy Friday!

I double dog dare you to not smile while you watch this video.

Shocker. More cute kids on the internet. But this one really is hilarious.

I can never watch enough TED talks. I think they’re fabulous – each and every one. But I especially love this one, which breaks down the secrets of making a marriage work! (I took notes)

Have you seen the video about the cocky kid at the spelling bee? OMG you guys.

These dogs are not excited for bathing suit-diet season. And frankly, neither am I.

Two years ago, I shared an interview with one of my favorite Portland bartenders. In case you’re wondering, he’s still one of the best!

And finally, this time last year I was whole-heartedly embracing strawberry season, starting with these Fresh Strawberry Cupcakes with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting.
